when i dream, i am ageless

if you have a dream, give it a chance to happen

many of us give up on our dreams. often our dreams slip away without our even realizing it.  we get over-involved with they day-to-day responsibilities of being a wife, husband, parent, full-time worker, etc.  we know that we are eventful at the moment, but we’ll get back chasing our dreams "some day". we really will.

but then ’some day’ doesn’t happen and it seems too hard to get back to where we were when we were first excited about our dreams. it becomes ‘too late’ or ‘impossible’ to pursue, so we give up and walk away.

but inside, something is still missing.  we know we’re happy but we figure it’s the job, or the relationship (or lack of) that is making us melancholic.  if we could only make more money, lose 10 pounds, or find the perfect mate, etc., then everything would fall into place.

but how can things fall into place when we’ve forgotten ourselves? our dreams are who we are. they give us an incentive to get out of bed everyday.  they are the reason we were born, and our destiny to fulfill while we are here.

so what do you do when you’ve given up on your dreams?  you remember that you are worth it and that you deserve to live your dreams. recognizing this is the hardest and most necessary step.  once you know how important living your dreams is to your health and mental well being, then you can propel yourself into action.

maybe you are thinking: ‘i don’t remember what my dreams were’ or ‘i don’t have a dream’.  you know what they are, you really do.  you just need to let them surface again so you can fulfill them.

take one action each day towards living your dreams.  it could be as simple as making a phone call, sending an email, or doing some research on the internet.  dreams are attained through the little steps until, one day, you find that you are living them.

so don’t give up! your dreams are within your grasp.  and yes, they can come true, it’s up to you to resolve if they will.

Most of the time, the limitations and obstacles we encounter are those of our own making. Once this is recognized and dealt with, the path toward our dreams suddenly widens and the possibilities become endless. :)
