Monday, January 15, 2007my mom got an invitation to dine at latitude in jumeirah beach hotel at 7:30 pm. .she picked me up around 4 pm and we went to my favorite salon (relax ‘n style in al attar shopping mall) to have my nails cleaned, a relaxing pedispa, and a haircut (they were trained from david’s salon. .my search for a permanent stylist is over! hehehe). .
my cousin ched called and she said she wanted to go to jules with her ate cielo and me. .since i can sense that i won’t be seeing her for the next few days (her hubby eugine will be in town from US), i agreed to go with them. .mom and i went to buy a perfume for my sister before heading to jumeirah beach road. .
latitude was a newly furnished restaurant with a funky new look (last time i was there was 2 years ago and they have the best chicken satay in town). .a mixture of live cooking station makes your dining experience an exciting journey from entrée through to dessert. .guests may dine inside or enjoy the outdoor terrace. .it offers breakfast, lunch, dinner, children’s buffet, and champagne brunch. . we were ushered by the manager and seated on the elevated part of the area. .my mom and i started right away because we were saving our stomach for this treat. .
for starters, i had this from the japanese area (hindi siya mukhang japanese food kasi puro bread, right?)

we could barely walk when we were done eating. .but, i highly recommend that you dine in this place. .it would only cost you 165 dirhams per head (i think! hehehe). .my rate for latitude is 9 out of 10. .nobody’s perfect, right?
on our way to my tito’s house in deira, i couldn’t resist not taking a photo of the famous jumeirah mosque. .it’s really beautiful in the evening, and i was always in awe everytime i see this magnum opus. .
when we arrived, lola was still asleep so my mom and i decided to snatch a few minutes of nap time. .unfortunately, i’m feeling a bit hyper so i went to nova and quay’s place to have a look at my cutie newborn niece, qyre. .i wanted to take a photo of her but decided not to (i don’t wanna ruin her beauty rest 
). .she’s very, very gorgeous. .i wanna pinch her cheeks. .wait til u see her!!
nway, at around 1am, we went to the airport with lola, tita tess and tito vic to accompany lola on her way back home. .she will be traveling in style, assisted by the special handling agents at the dubai international airport. .

. . .someday you're gonna realize..one day you'll see this through my eyes. .by then i won't even be there..i'll be happy somewhere..even if i can't. .i know you don't really see my worth. .you think you're the last guy on earth. .well i've got news for you..i know i'm not that strong. .but it won't take long. .won't take long. .coz someday, someone's gonna love me. .the way, i want you to need me. .someday, someone's gonna take your place. .one day i'll forget about you. .you'll see, i won't even miss you. .someday, someday. .right now. .i know you can tell. .i'm down,and i'm not doin' well. .but one day these tears. .they will all run dry. .i won't have to cry..sweet goodbye. .
my first post for the new year..
so much drama and gladness..i'm proud to say that i have survived every stone that life has thrown at me..i've pacified myself and made peace with people who have given me so much distress and pain..but,like i've said, it's really hard to overlook the details..i intend to advance my life (with or without someone to share it with me)..if destiny has other plans for me, i would embrace it without any qualms..(though i secretly wish, that fate will not forget to drop me a sign, or else, i might pass up! *smiles*)
i am grateful to those people who never gave up on me..who took the punches along with me, beamed me up, made me realize that there is more to life..people who never turned their back on me..people who love me and made me realize i'm a homo sapiens after all! meaning, i have a highly developed brain capable of abstract reasoning, language and introspection *smiles* gracias tanto!
i plan to have a resolution for this year, however, what i really need is a get-up-and-go attitude..wish me luck!
